OpenAI DevDay 2026: The biggest news and announcements

The Verge’s live DevDay package highlights Dots as OpenAI’s Muse rival (initially Pro, Business Premium, Enterprise — not free like Muse), GPT-6.1 Sol, ChatGPT at 1.2 billion weekly users (up from 1 billion in July), and a new $500/month ChatGPT Pro tier with highest limits and Ultrafast Astra mode, while the $200 tier reopens with new limits.
