GeForce NOW Gives Gamers More Ways to Play at Gamescom 2026

GeForce NOW’s Gamescom package expands cloud gaming’s reach across browsers, televisions and Steam hardware while using graphics controls to sell the experience.
Why it matters
Nvidia says Ultimate members will receive DLSS 4.5 controls for Super Resolution, Dynamic Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction this fall. GeForce NOW is also adding Firefox support, more Fire TV devices, GOG single sign-on and future Steam Machine and controller support.
Five games are announced for cloud launch, including CONTROL Resonant, Gears of War: E-Day and STAR WARS Zero Company. Thirteen games join the weekly library, while a limited-time 12-month Ultimate offer includes CONTROL Resonant.
From the desk
The release is a distribution story. Cloud gaming gets more valuable when the service disappears into devices people already own and removes downloads, installs and account friction. Performance controls then become a way to make remote hardware feel personal. The source gives a clear mechanism, but adoption and independent evidence will decide its significance.
Signal Desk's read: The release is a distribution story. Cloud gaming gets more valuable when the service disappears into devices people already own and removes downloads, installs and account friction. Performance controls then become a way to make remote hardware feel personal. The move is strategically coherent, although its limits are visible and should not be confused with proof of broad success.
This is a vendor-authored post; its claims are vendor-reported and need outside validation. The practical consequence is a new burden or option for operators, developers and institutions. That is where the announcement will be tested.
Context
Nvidia says Ultimate can reach up to 1440p and 120 frames per second in Firefox and up to 5K HDR on supported devices. Availability varies by title and games are onboarded after store release.
The announcements are from NVIDIA’s own blog, so claims about experience and membership value are vendor-reported. The real constraint is still network quality and game support, which the post does not quantify.
